Before school I was rarely taken to kindergarten; at that time (1967-1975) there were a lot of children, there were not enough places in nurseries and kindergartens.Therefore, I was mostly at Grandma Galya’s or at my cousin Misha’s house while my mother was at work.These photos are from kindergarten, where every New Year they held a “Christmas tree” with Father Frost and Snow Maiden, and took photographs.The children danced around the tree, then took turns reciting a poem under the tree and Santa Claus gave everyone the same gifts - a bag of candies, mostly caramels + sometimes with a tangerine.The parents made costumes for the children for this “matinee”: The boys were Bunnies (in the first photo everyone is wearing hats with ears))) and the girls were Snowflakes (in the second photo I’m in this costume: Mom sewed it for me from white gauze, starched it and covered it with sparkles))) We didn’t make a wish for Santa Claus then, and we didn’t know any other gifts besides this bag of candies.We also didn’t have any holidays or gifts for Christmas; everyone was an unbelieving atheist back then.

До школы меня в детсад водили редко, в то время (1967-1975гг) деток было много, мест в яслях и в детсаду нехватало. Поэтому я в основном была у бабушки Гали или в доме моего двоюродного брата Миши, пока мама была на работе. Эти фото из детсада, там на каждый новый год устраивали "Елку" с Дедом Морозом и Снегурочкой, и делали фотографии. Детки водили хоровод вокруг елки, потом по очереди рассказывали стишок под елкой и Дед Мороз всем дарил одинаковые подарки - кулечек с конфетами, в основном карамельки +иногда с мандаринкой. Деткам родители делали костюмы к этому "утреннику": Мальчики были Зайчиками (на первом фото все в шапочках с ушами))) а девочки Снежинками (на втором фото я в таком костюме: Мама мне шила из белой марли, крахмалила и обклеивала блестками))) Деду Морозу желания мы тогда не загадывали, и других подарков кроме этого пакетика с конфетами не знали. На Рождество тоже никаких праздников и подарков у нас не было, все тогда были неверующие атеисты.)
